Moses makes water flow from the desert
Mid-17th century work, made by an unknown painter who makes us think of a probable author of the Roman school, who had a strong personality, great professionalism and knew well the greatest Renaissance masters. It represents the biblical miracle of Moses that makes water flow from the desert in a composition divided into three distinct parts. In the centre, the prophet who performed the miracle with a rod of power, on the left, the servants filling the amphora to bring to thirsty people, and on the right, Aaron, Joshua and Hur, with armed men who are getting ready for the battle against the Amalekites. The painting, in a poor state of conservation and difficult to read, needs a good restoration.
